Katie Poor was born and raised in New England. She graduated with a BFA from the New Hampshire Institute of Art in the spring of 2010, where her concentration was in photography and art education. In the spring of 2009 she completed a semester abroad at the Hellenic International Studies in the Arts on the island of Paros in Greece. In the spring of 2011 Poor finished her year of student teaching to become certified as a K-12 art educator in the state of NH. Most recently Poor has been accepted to the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts roster of Teaching Artists.
